Sharon Murphy Enright, BS Pharm, M.B.A.
Sharon Murphy Enright, BS Pharm, M.B.A., has been a consultant to health care provider organizations including hospitals, health systems and health plans, physician practice groups, long term care organizations, health care associations and group practice organizations, the investor community and to the pharmaceutical and device industries for over 30 years. With a focus on strategic industry changes and how they affect leadership development, change management, medication use safety, forecasting, quality and performance improvement, and pharmacy supply chain, Enright has been a speaker for a broad range of healthcare audiences and is a frequent contributor to the professional literature. She has developed interdisciplinary educational programming for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, case, quality, risk and case managers and healthcare executives on a range of skills-based topics that highlight change opportunities and are designed to drive thinking, decision perspective and transformation in health systems, hospitals and managed care organizations. Since 2007, she has served as the Course Master for the ASHP Foundation’s Pharmacy Leadership Academy, and as developer and faculty for graduate pharmacy and interdisciplinary online academic learning programs, including the quarterly leadersEDGE webinars and the Leaders Innovation Master Series. Enright has developed cutting-edge online learning for health professionals domestically and internationally, serving as a member of the development team for a breakthrough learning management system incorporating simulation challenge testing to validate competency based clinical and leadership learning.
Enright holds certification and advance training in a range of topic areas including clinical microsystems, team based learning, time management, systems thinking, process consultation, and is a Wiley partner with certified training for DiSC and 5 Competencies for Effective Teams. Enright has previously served as the Director of Membership Services and Director of the Division of Planning, Management and Reimbursement for the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists before launching her own consulting firm, which was acquired by Cardinal Health in 2000. She has served as Senior Manager with Ernst & Young’s Health Science Advisory Services (HSAS), with responsibility as national service line leader for Managed Care and Medicare Part D service offerings, and support of pharmacy operations consulting.
She is the recipient of the Connecticut Society of Health System Pharmacists’ Paul Pierpaoli Lecture Award, Massachusetts Society of Health System Pharmacists Hospital Pharmacist of the Year Award, the John Zugich Distinguished Residency Alumni Award (Yale-New Haven Health Department of Pharmacy) and the 2015 Harvey AK Whitney Lecture Award.
She is currently President of EnvisionChange LLC, Atlanta, Georgia focusing on skills-based training for leadership and team effectiveness, organizational transformation and change management.
